We thought it was time to pull back the curtain and give you a glimpse behind the scenes at Yeastrix. It’s really just Eric and me, Tracee, doing our best to bring you helpful, accurate information every day.
Daily Life at Yeastrix
Most days, you’ll find Eric at the kitchen table, typing away. Meanwhile, I’m perched on the couch with my laptop—writing blog posts for Yeastrix or handling customer service. We both have offices, but we prefer being where the family and pets are. It keeps us grounded and reminds us what we’re really working for.
A little note on customer service: we prefer email or contact form communication. This is because most of our customers are in the United States, while we’re sitting here in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. That way we can give you our full attention, even across the time difference.

Garden to Table & Staying Active
When we’re not deep in research or creating content, you’ll usually find us outside in the garden. We stay active while growing most of the vegetables and fruits for our family and neighbors. We try to a clean life free from pesticides and weedicide, and live as much “garden to table” as possible. Eric mostly takes the lead in cooking, and I happily fill the role of kitchen hand and overseer. It’s a great team effort!
Every day, weather permitting we aim to get outside for a walk around the neighbourhood. It’s about 5km if we can manage it. It’s our time to reset, breathe, and reflect on what matters: health and fitness, and the small choices that make life better.
Our Philosophy
Some days are busy, some days feel messy—but each day is a new day to try again, to learn, and to do our best. The same values we write about with you—hope, discipline, balance—are the ones we try to live ourselves.
We share this because we want you to know that when we talk about gut health, candida, or lifestyle, it’s coming from a place of care, experience, and yes…humanity. Thank you for being here, for reading, and for trusting us. We hope our work gives you the encouragement to make one small positive choice today. It all adds up.
Behind the Scenes Thanks
We also want to take a moment to thank a few special people who quietly keep Yeastrix running behind the scenes. Nathan at Blue Duck Studio (NZ) has been a guiding hand with our websites—patient, creative, and always ready to help when we inevitably “butcher” things along the way. Our web hosting company in the United States keeps everything humming smoothly on the hosting side, so we can focus on writing and research without worrying about tech headaches.
And of course, a big hug to my cousin Michelle at FridayStudio.co.nz —thank you for bringing your amazing design skills to our branding, from the colours and fonts to the overall look of our products. Your creativity (& patience) make Yeastrix feel truly special, and it means so much to know we’re never doing this alone.
